Attorney advertising

Attorney Advertising. This website is for general information only and is not legal advice. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.

No attorney–client or confidential relationship

Visiting this site, contacting Cadenza Resolutions & Advisory, or booking a consultation does not create an attorney–client relationship or any confidential relationship. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information until such a relationship has been established in writing.

Neutral services

Ellen Kim serves as a neutral (mediator and arbitrator) and as a coach. In neutral engagements she does not represent or advocate for any party. Coaching is not legal advice, therapy, or representation.

Privacy notice

This notice describes what Cadenza Resolutions & Advisory collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this site only — not engagements, which are governed by the agreement for the matter.

What we collect

What you send us. The contact form asks for your name, email address, the service you are interested in, and your message. Booking a consultation takes you to Calendly, a separate service with its own privacy policy; anything you enter there is collected by Calendly, not by this site.

What is collected automatically. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics records the pages you view, roughly where you are (city level, from your IP address), and the site or search that sent you. If you decline, or before you choose, none of this is collected.

Anti-spam. When you submit the contact form, your IP address is sent to Cloudflare so its Turnstile service can confirm the submission is not automated. This happens whether or not you accept analytics, because the form cannot be protected from abuse without it.

Cookies and analytics

No analytics or advertising cookies are set until you accept them. Advertising, advertising-user-data, and ad-personalisation storage are switched off before Google Analytics loads and stay off permanently — accepting does not turn them on, because this site runs no advertising. Accepting turns on analytics storage and nothing else. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under the name cadenza-consent, which is not a cookie and is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can change your mind at any time using Cookie preferences in the footer.

One thing worth stating plainly, because it is easy to imply otherwise: Google Analytics does not only produce aggregate totals. It records each visit individually against a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser. We use those records to understand overall patterns — which pages get read, how people arrive — and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors, and do not connect analytics records to anyone who contacts us. Google Signals, which would allow analytics data to be tied to signed-in Google accounts across devices, is switched off on our property.

Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals

This site does not currently detect or respond to browser Do Not Track headers or Global Privacy Control signals. Analytics is off for everyone by default and stays off unless you accept it, so declining — or simply not choosing — has the same practical effect.

Who else receives this information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Information reaches these services only as described:

  • Google — analytics data, and only after you accept.
  • FormSubmit — contact form submissions, which it forwards to us by email.
  • Cloudflare — your IP address at the moment you submit the form, for spam prevention.
  • Calendly — nothing, unless you follow a booking link and enter details there yourself.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages reach us as email and are kept indefinitely as part of our correspondence records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time, and we will unless we are required to keep it — see your rights below.

Analytics records are deleted automatically after the retention period set on our Google Analytics property.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and where it came from, to request a copy of it, to ask us to correct it or delete it, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

To make a request — including asking us to delete a message you sent through this site — email ellen@cadenzaresolutions.com. Email is the only channel we operate for this. We will need enough information to confirm you are the person the request concerns, and we will use what you send us only to handle the request. We aim to respond within 45 days.
