At Cadenza, we serve as a neutral arbitrator in commercial and employment matters, as a sole arbitrator or as a member of a panel.
An arbitration is worth choosing for the reasons parties actually choose it, which are a decision-maker who understands the subject matter, a schedule that holds, a proportionate exchange of information, and a hearing that does not expand to fill the calendar. We run matters accordingly. Procedural orders are clear, deadlines mean what they say, and the scope of discovery is set against the amount genuinely in contention.
Awards are issued promptly and, where the parties request a reasoned award, they set out the basis for the decision plainly enough that both sides can see how it was reached. Parties surrender a great deal when they agree to arbitrate, and the least they are owed in return is a decision they can understand.
We also mediate, and we will say plainly when a matter would be better served by that route.
